After trying and trying and trying, losing all hope...I never figured that I still had on as much wax on the car as I did. I spent a day polishing, and got nowhere. I took the car out for a drive to think about why I wasn't getting any paint correction, and the rain started to fall. And BLAM! it hit me like a shovel to the face! I've had my car, 1995 Lexus SC300 repainted the same color but a two stage paint job, Reniassance Red..and after owning the car since mid 2007, I have probably waxed it a good 30 times..it used to be a once a week thing. After two Dawn washes, I took my PC7424 coupled with a 5.5 inch Lake Country CCS Orange pad, and my German friend Menzerna SIP and went to work. Needless to say, I was absolutley blown away. Nearly all the swirls and scratches were gone! Of course using such a heavy combo, some hazing, buffer trails and light swirls were still there. So I threw on my CCS Black pad and some PO85...and got nowhere. I never realized how hard the clear was on this car (its not the factory paint, but repainted using a 2 stage)..I backed up, used a White CCS pad and some PO106FA and it did some work. Then I threw the black pad and 85 combo back on and wham..the paint was nearly perfect. I don't think I can express my gratitude towards all the members that have dealt with my questions and shenanigans and given my straigh forward answers..So here I go again, back with a newly cleaned and dry set of pads to finish the car..to everyone out there, thanks a ton!
