I don't think there is much I could do for this...

Since I've pretty much taken a detailing...sabatacle...I've had a few people ask me to fix things for them. This is one of them. Yeah that's burned down to the bumper. I don't know what happened. :soscared: I don't know if my skills are up to that... This particular person's other car never had the front bumper finished. No I don't know why.

And then there's a guy who has some pretty wicked wetsanding marks. I detailed the car last year, but I wasn't the person that did the wetsanding (or buffing of that out). Sure enough the wetsanding marks are back. He doesn't want to take it to the person that did the wetsanding because he doesn't have much faith in him (if he would actually fix it, or just say he would, who knows--or if he even knows how). I'm guessing they are 1400 or 1600 marks. :sadpace: My experience in wetsanding is zero other than watching somebody else (which I'm not even sure if it was done right).

:nervous2: Don't know what to do.

If you take the job I would just tell him that the only thing that you can guarantee is that it will look MUCH better. IME wetsanding marks left by an inexperienced detailer do not always come out. They typically use poor technique, horrible papers, and too harsh of a grade paper. You will probably need the rotary and a fairly aggressive polish to start with. I hate cleaning up after someone else......good luck.

Man, those rims were chewed up, too bad such a nice car!!!

I wouldn't take the job on that if he expects it perfect.

Bumper paints are always thinner and thats right near edges. I did a 350Z with damage in the same area and it was a PITA.

I don't think he expects it perfect. Even so I don't know if this type of work is worthwhile for me.

I don't even know where to begin with that bumper.

Wow, looks a job for a can rather than a "pen" type touch up. You cuold touch some bits and remove some burning.

If your not confident then try on a scrap panel, and you could try micro mesh (i think thats what its called).

The danger is depending how far he has went with the previous sanding then you could end up going through the clear if your not careful. This is why i want to buy a depth meter, to keep myself right.
