I don't mind a little glaze now and then

don't have time for a full polish or even a 1 stepper.

so last night, I gave the DD a wash, applied RMG via LC black pad, and then a coat of Souveran ontop.

I know the board tends to focus on correction, but gotta love taking it old skool sometimes. Hell, I've even used glaze and then a soft topper ontop of a hard topper on a full polished car, just to a give it a lil bit of oils at times.

I know I'm asking for it with pollen season about to kick into full effect...but it was quick and easy on my time restraints, and it does look better than post winter blues

it's fine, just don't expect it to last more than a month

and yea an oily nuba is prob not the best choice for pollen season

FK1 1000P to the rescue!

Just my opinion, but you might want to consider stripping the wax and glaze off, and putting down a couple coats of 1000P. It certainly won't make your car look as good as the combo you have on it now, but as BigJim says, a glaze/nuba combination will attract that pollen like a moth to a flame. Even worse, pollen seems to really stick to nubas/glaze harder than a sealant. Pollen on 1000P should come off with just a trip through the local touchless coin-op.

Note that I'm a *huge* nuba fan, but for pollen season, 1000P is tough to beat.

no more product recommendations please ;-)

I swear, this year, I'm trying to cut back on products and focus on process....

well, there is some new foam pads/ hand foam smaller polish pads I want to order, but other than that I'm trying real hard to not buy any more hobby toys

Would a hot of FK425 over the nubba reduce the pollen covering?

It will reduce the static charge which tends to grab nearby pollen and dust, but of course it won't alter the effects of gravity (darn it!). ;)

Oh come on! We haven't even gotten warmed up yet! I sense there is still money in your wallet... :D

ha...I did say try. I have some more auto detailing products coming over from the uk any day.

I have been meaning to try the Danase syn glaze.

I recall reading spect results with their syn glaze and Optiseal (which I do have in my stash).

And one day...when I do get some 425, I will add that 1000P as well
