I don't believe I have a 'Glaze' in my setup ... suggestions?

As in the title really, although would Menzerna FPII be considered a glaze ? Any others that people would suggest I try? Thanks.

I just bought some 1z products too, thought they looked like a bargain, I bought 1Z ultra paint polish, and 1Z mettalic polish and wax, and I bought their clay bar too (elasti-clay) ... any opinions on those products ?

ZWith the 1Z stuff I don't think you'll need a glaze. The only time I use glazes is on fresh paint. The FPII is not a glaze, it's a regular (but very mild) polish. The 1Z Metallic is somewhat similar to a glaze in that it does a little "hiding" of remaining imperfections.

The 1z stuff is *very* good, but I think you'll need something in-between the Ultra and the Metallic. I'd get a can of Paint Polish. The Metallic is *VERY* mild and cannot, in my experience, remove the micromarring that the Ultra leaves. And the Ultra is aggressive enough that you won't want to use it very often. The Paint Polish is sorta the go-to polish from 1Z.

Yeah, no need for a glaze with 1z or, especially Menzerna. Even after I do the alcohol/water wipe down, in particular to remove the wax in 1z, it doesn't fail to impress me with true defect removal when I work with it. ( Although I'm using Menzerna mostly these days)

If you wanted your LSP to be a carnauba wax alone, the glaze could serve to further enhance the appearance of the paint just prior to applying it.

If I get decently bored and want that extra pop (black car) i'll put on some Meg's #81 (hand glaze) before i put on a sealant or wax. Look really nice, noticably different from without it. But, i dont have a PC, so I can't really compare it to a flaw-free finish.

1Z MP is pretty close to a glaze, IMO but I really like Vanilla Moose and Poorboy's Polish w/carnauba is a close second. Meguiars #81 Hand Polish is also excellent but it isn't as easy to use as VM or PwC.
