Well, someone left a present on the Blazer a few weeks ago, and I had a chance to tackle the problem this weekend.
The scratches range in length from about one inch to four inches. They felt rough to the touch, and I really did not think I had a chance to repair them without a trip to the body shop for some paint.
Here is a before picture with the damage:

I used a Meguiars yellow softbuff foam pad and Meguiars DACP. I started at a setting of 4.5 and worked the DACP until it was starting to dry out. I then went to 6 and worked it until nearly dry. I removed it with a MF and then topped with American Shine wax (this was the first chance I had to try out the wax).

I still cannot figure out what caused these scratches. It sort of looks like someone set something down and then slid it off.
Now if I could only get rid of the stone chips!
