I am actually excited about this

Whose yer DADDY!??!?!?!?!
Hey guys, just thought I would share with you what I am going to be doing tommorow.

The challenge: 2001 Acura Integra LS, hasn't been detailed in 2 years, hasn't been washed in probably better than 6 months.
The car belongs to a girl who I am currently in the process of trying to win back. :bigups

I just picked up the car tonight and I am going to detail it tomorrow. I couldn't beleive my eyes when I saw it. She has been parking under trees at school, and travels during rush hour to and from work in southern california. The paint is beyond rough, it is like friggin sticky. There is almost no reflection from the paint whatsoever. Swirls EVERYWHERE, I had to prevent myself from breaking out all the detail stuff tonight.
My plan of attack:
NXT wash
Mothers Clay (may take two passes, the paint is THAT bad :angry)
NXT wash
SSR 2.5 with heavy cut pad
SSR 2.0 with light cut pad
SSR 1 with polishing pad
Megs trim treatment
Mothers wheel polish for the rims (97-98 GSRs if you care to know)
BlackMagic tire dressing

GSRstilez carpet treatment
woolite+water 10:1 for all interior panels
Megs Vinyl/Rubber protectant

Wish me luck! I figure it should take about 5 hours to do the whole thing. I will take plenty of before and after shots to post up tommorow. I seriously think this could be my opus. The car brought back from the dead.
I am so excited to get started on this.

Wow, that does sound like a challenge!! What colour is the paint (supposed to be ;) )??

I did not see any type of "chemical" polish in your plan. I would use AIO, PP (or similar) after the claying, then hit it with the SSR's as needed.

Also, what are you going to leave on it after the SSR1? Are you going to seal or glaze the finish? How about your LSP?

Good luck with the car & the girl!!

make sure you post pics when you get it done...and let us know if you "got any" that nite for all your work!! lol

Good luck on that one, I hope you are "paid" sufficiently for it. Be sure to clay both front to back and side to side, I've found that this helps to pull everything out very thoroughly.

Sounds like a lot of work, if she dosen't take you back after all that. Call me I'll date you for someone that will do all that work on any of my cars :rolling :rolling :rolling
