How about that new program from Hyundai that says that if you buy a new car and lose your job within 1 year you can return it , if you made at least 2 payments. How come a Foreign car company can think of this and a American car company cant.

Because it's a scam? Think about it, do you really think they will approve anyone who is in the slightest danger of losing their income? How much do you want to bet they have a list of occupations that will not get approved, and length of employment I'm sure will be very long. Self employed... forget it! In addition only the very top credit ratings will get this loan. The idea is to get you into the showroom.



IMO this is as dumb as the Subaru ad (or is it Suzuki) about the deer romping around free in the meadow beside the factory.

I have worked at dealerships in the past that have offered a program like this. It is nothing new, more a type of insurance. I am not sure the program is exactly the same, but where I worked you had the option to buy this insurance for a small additional fee on top of your monthly payment and if you can't afford to pay your car note, then you can claim and you may be approved to have your payments cancelled and car returned.
