Hyundai Sonata

figured i would post a detail instead of just lurking haha...after a little break from detailing after my son was born 2 weeks ago im back at with this Hyundai Sonata. she only wanted an exterior detail as she takes pretty good care of the interior...by far my favorite detail to do as i hate interiors with a passion...the paint was in need of some help so i had to figure out my plan of attack...i just recently returned my Optimum polishes and ordered Megs #105, Menz Power Finish and Menz PO85RD...the paint was pretty trashed but after doing a test section with Menz Power Finish i realized i would be able to do a 1 step with it and get great results...not sure if it was a soft clear or the polish worked that well but it was nice not having to do a 2 step and still have the same results i used to get with that method..i did bust out the #105 on a foamed wool pad and my rotary on a few deep scratches...overall i am very impressed with this combo of polishes and i think this will be my go to from here on out...on with the pics.

I think you did a fantastic job on both the detail and the photos. There's an amazing difference in the before and after shots and that flake comes through nicely.

I'll bet you have one happy owner on your hands....:bigups

Nice job. The flakes are really coming through now!

thanks. it is a really nice paint job once it was brought back to where it used to be

Well done!!

thanks!

nice work

I'm a fan of menz PF also (pf2500). what pad did you use?

I've done a few 1 steps with menz PF and LC tangerine. I like to lean into it a bit for first pass or 2 then lighten up on the pressure for the remaining couple passes.

EXCELLENT results for a 1 step. The Sonata looks brand new!

Thanks!

Thanks. I used the Lake country orange pad. It really surprised me how well it finished.

Very nice job I had one of the first of those.. and i always like those cars

Thanks!

Great job...

Thanks!

Nice job ! What did you do to the engine compartment?

I cleaned it with Megs Super Degreaser and dressed it with Adams SVRT and their In and Out Spray
