Hummer Kit

Hmm, quite a bit of misinformation in that post.

The H2 IS built by AM General using GM parts. GM does not build the H2. They only have rights to the Hummer name.

The H1's were always stickered at $100k, but you could get a new one for about $70k. The arrival of the H2 had no effect on H1 pricing. With your thinking, the H3 just pushed the H1 up to $150K when actually its because it's been redesigned.

Hmm..... sounds like the truth must hurt! GM does build the H2, essentially it's on the same chassis/platform as the Tahoe/Suburban and (in the SUT's case) Avalanche. HUMMER is a GM franchise, most often tied to Cadillac dealerships. And one other point -- go take a look at an H3. What badge is on the front doors? Oh, that's a GM logo.....

If you honestly believe that the SUT you bought is an AM General built offroading machine, I feel truly sorry for you. Oh, and the H1 has been redesigned? What did they change? I don't see a damn thing different, personally. Unless you mean that they added GM badges and a DURAMAX badge to indicate that they're using even less AM General parts in it now.... :har:

Hmmm.......Who cares, I love GM vehicles and thats why I bought one. Tahoe frame? So what? All's I know is that it is very off road capable, handles wonderfully on road, corners like a sports car and sure doesn't look like or perform like a Tahoe, Suburban, Jeep or anything else. I know that it is not as capable as an H1 but I dont care.

Why does everyone keep beating down Hummer? Look at the H3.....Huge bang for the buck!! My sister inlaw has a huge F-350, that gets less fuel milage than the Hummer. Rides like a rock and corners like freight train??

I Dunno and dont get it. :nixweiss

I personally did not mean to bash anyone’s choice in vehicles. I just don't like being accused of giving out misinformation when the accuser doesn't know what he is talking about. As for your sister in-laws F350, did she buy one without a diesel?
