As a newbe, we all know not to wax in the sun, however the question I have is how does humidity affect the waxing, besides a lot od sweating.
 
im not sure but im guessing it dries faster or slower depending on the humididty but i dont think that much diffrence.

A lot of the new waxes you can wax in the sun. ;) Higher humidity usually makes the waxes take longer to cure and makes polishes take longer to break down. I fixed my humidity problem by adding an air conditioner in my garage.
 
More humidity would mean slower drying times I would think. But I agree that it likely makes insignificant difference.
 
Hight humidity really bugs the crap out of me.

Some sealants have a film that wont buff off, and some of my waxes just smear around when it is extremely hot and humid.

What i do when this happens, is just QD it in a few hours or in the morning.
 
Humidity is a real big pain in the butt, most wax's have to "flash" just like paint that is what happens when it goes from liquid to solid (or film).
when you wax in high humidity you are just moving it around. in essence its not much different than waxing in the fog or rain! plus if it builds up in the corners or emblems its almost impossible to get it out of there (ever notice wax that you thought you got out but dident?)

some new formulars tend to have a flashing ajent in them for the most part you want to put it on as thin as possible

i bought a gallon of p&s smart wax a year ago and tried this stuff . it was extremely hard to remove so i cursed the stuff and gave it to a friend in washington and he said it worked great . so i told my local vendor about it and he said it was the humidity .. they grow alot of silage.... cow corn here in the summer and it gets very humid due to all the irrigation going on and 100+ degree weather ... my other stuff works great but that product was not user freindly in humid conditions
