I was just reading the latest Griot's catalog, and read an interesting tip.



The suggestion was to mix Griot's Best of Shine Wax with their car wash soap. That way you get a wash and wax all in one.



Is this a good idea? Will it actually help the shine, or is it just a waste of wax?



Kind of reminds me of the "wash and wax" setting on the drive thru carwash at Chevron.

There have been quite a few threads on this topic and if I remember correctly, the results are marginal at best. Not like the results you will get with applying wax directly and probably just a waste of wax all together. Though some did mention a benefit of adding a QD.
