How would you guys handle this?

Doing some mild correction work on an M3. The rear quarter has been replaced. On the replaced panel the paint depth is ranging from 58-86 microns. The rest of the car is fine. That is a little thinner than I would like to work with. I was thinking about using D151 on a black pad and leaving it at that. Or is there a better option? I would love to hear your thoughts.

You may have to tackle it two separate processes. Test the thin panel with a fine polish then do the rest of the car based on correction needed and see if you can get them close. Try and final polish the whole car with the same process that way correction amount and gloss will be the same. Other option is Pre Wax cleaner like PoorBoy`s World professional polish. Use heavier pad on the good paint and a finer pad on the thin paint. That way you can let some of the solvents do the dirty work and the polish do the mild correction.
