Well DACP isn't really for shine, that would be something that SEC or VM is for. DACP is quite a bit more abrasive than either the SMR or VM. I rarely use VM as a polish, but after DACP to take care of the haze if any and it is a great glaze. I really have yet to find a purpose for SMR as it does nothing for swirls- not aggressive enough and anything that it can tackle- VM can tackle as well with VM being easier. I would say DACP is a crutial product to any detailer because most of their clients have pretty nasty swirl marks that DACP takes care of and is relatively easy to use. You want more shine, DACP will remove some of the dead paint to help bring out a better shine, but typically needs to be followed up with a less abrasive polish to achieve maximum results. I've gone straight from DACP to sealant and just wasn't as happy as I was with VM then sealant. Hope this helps.
