HOw will this affect us in the long run?

I need to see it to know, myself. Pretty much any plastic parts GM puts out are subpar, so we'll see.

As somebody said to me the other day, unless they start making self-cleaning cars, we will adapt.

The auto industry doesn't want to make cars that last forever, if they did, they would never sell any new ones. And most of the inovations we see now are either gimmicks to raise the spec, or to cut costs for the manufacturer (or a combination of both). All of which seems to cars looking shabby quicker... think - cheap leather and chome wheels.

yu are right in that sense I just think that this a technology that is evolving and alot of the car manufacturers are considering this step. We will be seeing this more and more and in my opinion this would make our job alittle more easier it will have an impact on us. Sooner or later.
