how to wash my Pads

I wash mine in the washer and they have always been fine.

I also will wash them in the sink with Dawn, or soak them in APC+

I wash them in the machine with tide and a apc. Give the a extra rinse.

Or in the sink with dawn and dawn power dissolver will work.

One thing to watch out for with washing machine washing is they can gum up your machine pretty easily.

thanks guys ill probably presoak them in warm to hot water with apc and soap then in the washer

see what happens

thanks

Rinse with hot water in kitchen sink. scrub with your hands. Spray with Dawn power dissolve and rub it in. Let sit for 20 minutes. rinse thoroughly. fill sink with hot water and half a cap of detergent that says 'free' hand wash in the sink and let soak for 30-60 minutes, rinse, rinse and rinse. spin dry on your machine and let sit out to dry completely.

that's how I do it and I've had some white pads that got really bad come back to looking new.

bad thing about machine washing, is the pads tend to pick up little lint left over from previous washes-that's a PITA to remove one at a time!!!!!

There is no way to clean pads. Once you use them you must throw them out. Lucky for you I have the proper facilities for disposal. I'll hook you up for free, just send them over.:LOLOL

thanks guys it worked pretty well i presoaked in hot boiling water first and removed alot then warm water with dawn and apc my yellow came out completely my orange id say 85 % but atleast it wont dust

Liquid Dawn is used when they have a oil spill to clean birds. It will clean pads the same way. Add some apc or power dissolver and you should get 95% clean.

I threw pads in the washer once and they got torn up.

My Wife would kill me if I ever washed my pads in our washing machine! I'd imagine it takes a long time to remove and the residual chemicals left behind.

I just blast mine with my powerwasher. Gets all the dead paint and chemicals that are deeply embedded within the pad totally out. You can always tell how good of a job you did at cleaning them if there's stuff left in your pads when you use them and dust flys everywhere.

funny, I have used my whirpool duet 9400 (1200 rpm max) for years..I put my Lc pads in with Charlie soap and Borax on mid med spin (only 1000 rpms) and comes out like new...and that is with warm for wash and cold rinse.

Where do you guys get your Dawn power dissolver? I cant find it anywhere

just got back from wal-mart and it was in the dish detergent aisle, near all the other dawn. keep your eyes peeled for it, there is only 1 type of power dissolver in the middle of all the other dawn products so its tough to find.

its a spray bottle IIRC.

don't know the normal price of dawn (not power dissolver), but they have a 2pack onsale for $4 - larger size bottles

I like Optimum Power Clean. It cleans/rinses out better than Dawn especially if you use too much Dawn.

thanks guys i did just that and my pads look lots better id say 90% of the stuff came off my orange pad i shoudl be good to go
