Been a while since I've seen pictures of your car. Got anything recent? How many coats are you up to? Anyway, Zaino has a certain look to it on some colors that, although unique, isn't everyone's preference. I gave up after 12 coats on one of my cars with different combinations of Z2/Z5. Never looked like I wanted. Makes a good base and great for winter, though! :xyxthumbs

Mine is red. But needs to be detailed. I have gone the Ferrarichat but not much on detailing. I am looking at getting a great red glow.

Thanks

Let me suggest Pinnacle Souveran if this is what you're looking for. It will be stunning on a red Ferrari

I havent taken any pics off the SS in a while (mabe thats what I will do tonite;))

I am up to about 40 or so coats since I buffed the SS last summer, That day I SMR'ed of over 100 coats:eek: There was a few places that I didnt prep right before I started the Zing, thats why I had to buff it down and start over...

F 3,

Omega Glaze is half the one two punch in the Blitz presentation.

Also nice is the 3M IHG and Blitz combo but still find the OG/Blitz combo the most beautiful.

Maybe CMA has it. If not call carcareonline in New Jersey.

Last resort is One Grand directly since they are in California.

I think you'll be very happy.

F355,

If you just GEPC the few coats of Zaino you have applied it will be removed. There is really no need to wash. Just apply the P21S after the GEPC and you will love the results. I applied two coats of BF2 after the GEPC and topped with P21S. I love the results. The BF is very carnuaba-like and the P21S really brings out the look that carnuaba lovers seek. I tried Zaino ( a wonderful product) but like yourself felt that I lost the richness of color ( non-metallic black) that I desire.:xyxthumbs

F355

I saw a pic of your engine compartment. What did you use?

It is stunning.

I need to get ahold of it.

:bow

I love you guys!

We really do need a convention to I can meet some of you.

This really has become an interesting thread...

OK - Let me try some more stuff & I'll report back under a fresh thread with pix...I have new BF and got a hold of Omega..

BJT - send me an e-mail & I'll give you some of my tips on F motors. A lot of metal that most GM cars don't have, there's something called Rub & Buff that's unreal..I'll give you details later.

I am glad you like the forum, good to have ya here :):xyxthumbs

I have heard Z and red don't work well. As far as dark cars and Z I don't know what people complaining about when they say they are not happy. I have a carbon black car with three coats of Z2, with a proper prep of course, and I'd put it up against the same color with any wax. IMHO the Zaino would look better.

I recently applied a coat of Pinnacle Souvern over the Z with NO noticable improvement.

Until someone shows me different I'm a straight Z man.

It's all a matter of preference. If you don't care about durabilty and you like waxing, then P21s or S100 seems to be the wax of choice.

BTW Nice ride

I guess there is another way of looking at this:

If you don't like the hobby of detailing and prefer to not wax your car than Z is the product for you.

Of course both statements are ridiculous.:nono

I used zaino on my old red car, and thought it worked best on this color......check out some pics of zaino on red.....I guess I feel the opposite....that red is one of the best colors to use Zaino on!

I do not think anyone means that it does not look good on red ( I think Zaino looks good on any color ..better on lighter colors) but that they do not think it looks personally as good to them as a carnuaba-like result. Preference is the key word. I liked Zaino but prefer carnuaba-like results (Blackfire,P21S). There is no this product is better than that answer here.:wavey
