How to remove white hazing from wheel cleaner?

A customer let some wheel clean sit to long which caused a lot of white hazing. I tried PP but that didn't work. Any suggestions?
 
I've worked on many like that if PP has not taken it off I'm wondering if the rim cleaner eteched the rim. Does the surface feel rough?
 
The surface does not feel rough. The PP put a nice shine on the rim but it also made the white haze stand out.
 
I wonder of its the clear coat on the rim now, a pic could help. WIth some acid based wheel cleaners it will haze the clear of not washed off right away
