How to remove water damage (pitting)

My 2003 black car has horrible water damage (pitting) I have tried yellow pads with Menzerna IP and 3MFCRC to no avail.

It is a clearcoated car. What would be the next step to remove the pitting??

I have gone over the surface about 4 times already with compounds and the same with polishes. How much clear you think is still left??

outdoorsr- The only way I've ever been able to do much about pitting is by wetsanding, and in most cases I'd recommend against that. I'd rather have thick(er) clear than remove such damage myself.

If you're working by PC, I wouldn't wetsand with anything other than Meguiar's/Nikken Unigrit, or maybe something from Mirka. And I wouldn't go any coarser than 2000 grit. But again, *I* wouldn't do it at all (two of my vehicles have etching and I just live with it).

Some pitting is from other causes- I have two different examples of that on my M3, and in cases like on that car the only answer is to repaint the affected panels.
