How to remove nail polish from paint?

I searched but did not find an answer, so if someone could help me out please.

Yesterday while driving I was stopped at a red light and next thing I know, I hear loud bangs. Thought car was getting shot at, some #$@(! apparently was throwin nail polish bottles at my car from a condo. I took off and checked, lucky no damage(broken glass, dents, etc). There is nail polish all over my sun roof from where the bottle broke. Also on my windshield and some on the roof:nervous2:.

It was very cold out so I could not wipe it off and had no napkin or towels on me. Called the cops, etc etc etc. Long story short, I have nail polish on the roof, sunrood and windshield.

I figure I will use nail polish remover on the glass, but what about the paint?

Thanks in advance!

I would try a thorough claying first of all, then break out a polish if needed, but i would't go near the paint with the nail polish remover solution.

I figure I would only use the nail polish remover on the sunroof and glass. Not anywhere on the paint!!!

Also it is real cold out and snowing so can't even wash or do anything :(. Atleast it is garaged.

There is a non-toxic nail polish remover gel, but not sure what it's made of. What about goof-off or perhaps naptha?

I've used paint thinner with no ill effects. Spray it on, let it sit for a bit, then wipe it gently with a soft cloth...too hard and you'll scratch up the cc. You'll need to re-apply wax/sealant on the area you used thinner on.
