How to remove Cozmoline..........

Hello all:



This is my first post :wavey



I have been a detailing nut for a long time (my wife does think I am crazy).



I am trying to get my 2001 M3 ready for a club concourse event and still have not found a good way to remove cozmoline from the underside of the car.



Any ideas for getting this junk off the car?

Kerosene or Mineral Spirits are the standard for removing it from table saws. Use your own judgement.

Will those damage plastics or paint??

Bug & Tar remover worked on my 94 Toyota Pickup. Cleaner/wax would not remove it. - this is what I remember from 8 years ago.

WD40 will remove it. I used this on our VW. Citric cleaner also works, but not as well. You will have to wax any painted surface after removal with these products.
