What do you guys to protect the paint on the fenders when you are working under the hood? Do you use one of the blanket things? Or will that hurt the paint? Any type of cover that is autopia approved? Any ideas? Thanks.

Good fender guards work well. Or even a large microfiber or waffle weave towel that you don't care about getting greasy. We got my father inlaw some for x-mas for his new Mustang and they are basically a really soft rubber material so they won't slide all over the place.
