How to prep piant before i wax w/ s100??

yes, it's called s100 Shine Enhancing Paint Cleanser and it's a great, easy to use product.

You should use that before you wax with s100 for the first time.

I however think this may be a better post for the Detailing forum. :up

i hope the harley dealer is open tommorw, if they are closed what else can i use..

maybe a quick wax by mothers or meguires

The surface should be clean before you wax. So obviously you would wash it. ;) If you were to do a proper job then you would clay and polish the car before waxing. Clay is easy to do without a machine so that might be a step you want to consider. Polishing is difficult without a PC, but not impossible. It just depends on how strong you are. If you have a PC then I would suggest polishing appropriate to the swirls or damage to the surface. Waxing is usually the last step. A QD isn't really considered preperation for wax. If you aren't going to clay and polish then waxing right after washing can be done.

darrinb, don't sweat it. If the Harley dealer is closed tommorrow (today technically :p) you don't have to rush out and buy something else that will just sit in a corner later on. Just wait until Monday. Your car will be fine even if it's unwaxed until next weekend if that's your concern. :)

No one else really makes something comparable to S100 SEC that both gently polishes and glazes (to any significant amount) all in one step as far as I know.

If I'm understanding this correctly, does SEC play a role in filling swirls (since you said it was a glaze)?

Try wwwcarcrazy.net. They have both S-100 and P21S in stock and it's free shipping for orders over $25 ! Orders are sent same day too.

Clean Dean, Last week I tried S100 for the first time and I'm lovin' it. :xyxthumbs Like everyone says, "easy on - easy off." Supposedly it's not long lasting but for someone like me who keeps my car in a garage that's not an issue. Plus, I'm always looking for an excuse to throw on another coat of wax.

I think it's an obsessive-complusive thing !!! :D :D :D

PS: Clean Dean, I see you live in Howell. Stop by if you're driving down Wall Rd some day. #721

I believe so. I've got some GEPC but haven't tested it or anything yet. That is what everyone says though. I think Nick T did a very neat test comparing the 3 "grades" of product (glaze, GEPC, swirl remover) and compared filling and cutting.

*whew*! Here it is, bottom of the first page: http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19780&highlight=gepc+ihg
