How to polish head lights/tail lights with PC?

I have some meguiars polish for plastic headlight and tailights that works nice, but I want to apply it with something other than by hand.



Is there any attachments out there you can buy that will bolt on your PC 7424?



I need it to be small to get at my recessed headlights and fogs and my normal pads and backing plates are much too wide and shallow.



Not sure what pad should be used on plastic either.



Anybody with tips and product info or any comments, would be greatly appreciated

I've been using the PC with 4" pads, but haven't had to do any "recessed" lamps. The 4" pads might still be too big for some applications.



The last few headlights I did, I sanded by hand using 1000 grit sandpaper followed by 2000 grit. Then I switched to the PC with a 4" white pad with M105, followed by another 4" white pad with M205. Those steps have yielded very good results for me.
 
I too have done fine using whatever pad suits the job (degree of cut, size, etc., or by hand, when the pads just don't fit) and the same polishes I use for paint.
 
I use the same as paint as well, just remember to keep moving your machine so you don't cause damage to the headlight or taillight due to heat.
 
i have used whatever pad and product I was using on the paint and just hit up the taillights when I was done with that area. 105 or ultimate compound has done good for me.
 
the detail i finished today had super hazy headlights. after sanding, i hit one with 106FF/4" white and the other Megs PlastiX/4" white and the finish is the same.

I dont think the 4" spot pads for the PC will fit on my headlights and def not fogs and turn signals as they are recessed.



If you have seen a gt500 front end you know what I mean.



I saw griotts I think sells a 3" PC for this type of thing that looks very small but I was hoping there was something smaller like that that I could attach to my PC





doing it by hand doesnt seem to get any of the scratches out



I read that alot of products we use on our paint are also good for our glass, what works well for polsing glass?



I am going to use a white pad where I can since it has no cut, no risk!
 
I did my taillights with PlasticX today - when I shined the sun gun on them i was surpised how bloody swirled they were!



I tried a cyclo and green/PX which got rid of most of them, but not the deeper ones. So I settled on doing cyclo and orange/PX followed by green/PX. Not 1 mark on them now.
