How to polish a Honda Civic Grey bumpers

Hey Guys,

Just got my :waxing: Flex 3401 and wanted some advise on bumpers.

What does everyone use for bumpers to polish? Meaning type of pads such as CCS and polish.

I am in the process of getting CCS 6.5 Orange & White with 106FA and PO83 for my car. Will those products mentioned above also work for those plastic bumpers.

Any other tips would be of great help.

Cheers,

B.

Use the same pads and polish that you use for the rest of the car. Those two Menzerna polishes you listed are both wonderful polishes but you are probably going to want a compounding polish in your arsenal as well if you don't already have some.

Thanks Conan777.

I have Zaino Z-2 Pro Show Car Polish which I use and like it. It's easy to apply and smells great. Is this a compounding polish. I am still trying to understand the words with the products. So the questions are baby steps for me.

Cheers,

Z2 is def not a compounding polish. Z2 would be the final polish in the zaino world.

What is the condition of your finish now? It is kind of hard to suggest where to start with out knowing where you are now. Posting some pictures would really help.

Megs Ultimate Compound and ZPC as a finishing polish should be all that you need to prep for Zaino. If you use a menzerna polish do an IPA wipedown to ensure a clean surface for Zaino to bond to.

Hello,

My cars color is Galaxy Grey which Honda Calls and it's three years old. It has some really bad swirl marks which I can tell when viewing in day light. It might not be that bad comparing to you guys.

I will take some pictures this week and post them up. Then I will have a better picture as to what I really do need because I have no clue.

I thought that 106FA and PO83 would do the trick. I had no idea I needed more or maybe less. Good thing I haven't purchased anything yet. Don't want to purchase to much also the Flex 3401 was a little to much.

Yes, BigJimZ28 they are painted factory bumpers both front and back.

Wannafbody what is an IPA?

Cheers and many thanks for your help.

Ok took a few pictures but, was unable to get the swirl marks. Only two pictures show them but, there very light. My camera isn't the greatest either.

So by looking at the picture there a bit more visible it's that the color of my car makes it harder to tell.
