How to maintain wheel/tire equipment?

Hey guys, I have 2 wheel brushes and a few wheel microfibers that are just FILTHY! I don't touch them unless I have gloves on and would NEVER throw them into the washing machine (just TOO nasty).

So, my question, how do you guys STORE and MAINTAIN these particular items?

Don't you wash them out in the sink after each use? I rinse mine out under running water and then they never get as bad as you describe.

Like Setec, I wash mine after every use. I also use Dawn Power Dissolver every once in a while on my brushes and tire dressing sponges. That stuff works great!

For storage I keep mine in a bucket that has a lid with my other wheel cleaning stuff.

so far I have just been rinsing them off after I am done and storing them in a bucket with a lid. I will probably try Puckman's suggestion of using dawn power dissolver if they start to not get cleaned off when rinsed.

Immediately after use I place wheel MFs into a gallon of hot water with 1 oz of Danase MF cleaner and soak overnight. The brushes just rinse off.

Ive never had a brush or MF that I couldnt touch.

I just spray my brushes out then hang them up.

If a MF is dirty, I spray it out, wash it with dawn by hand, then throw it in the washer. :xyxthumbs
