How to maintain HD Poxy in a quick N easy manner?

Just polished my car and put on Poxy. Is there a way to maintain the "Poxy Look" via a spray wax? I have OCW but I guess after washed it'll start adding its own OCW look. I know I can just re-apply poxy again but I like the speedy workflow of using post wash spray waxes like OCW, they're fast and efficient.

Did HD come out with anything that'll maintain posy after washes? Like a spray version of Poxy...Here's Hoping...

Thanks MD & Dan,

MDRX8, Looking for something that maintains the Poxy look, but with the durability of a sealant but can be applied via spray. The V7 looks interesting but it seems to just be a quick detailer, as are Z8, HD final touch and Griots detailer.

Is there anything that gives some solid durability with High gloss

I've read quite a bit of your recent posts/questions so I will try to consolidate my replies into this post. As always, my replies are based on my opinion with no scientific proof:

In my experience, V7 is a great-looking spray sealant with below average durability (when compared to traditional, standalone LSPs). I would not classify it as a QD...although it looks better than 425, I would never use it on a dirty car. No streaking issues on a clean surface, but I get smearing when a noticeable amount of dust or dirt is introduced.

With that said, look into Meg's Ultimate Quik Wax or Gold Class Spray Wax. The look that both these products impart is closer to that of Poxy and their durability (1 month at most) is better than V7...

Yep, I got nothin in the durable department for those types of looks. OCW is the only waxy looking spray anything with any semblance of durability, but the wax like looks are gone after the first rain.

Thanks MCA,

Yep Dan...Rain, that's the big downer for me here in Chicago. A single rain with the water mixing with the chemicals in tree leaves and my LSP is gone. I've tried, OCW, Acrylic Jett, Nattys blue, IW845, #26 paste, EO WAUD, DG AW, BFWD and more but they all stopped beading after one or two rains and the looks were gone after the first rain except from IW 845 and #26 paste. I really feel that it's the tree+rain water that destroys LSPs in my area...don't have a garage.

I love the look of AW but one rain and that baby is gone. Any ways, it seems that OCW is only decent route for what I'm trying to achieve here.

You might want to try the Zaino (or Duragloss) route if you want great looks, shower after shower.

I haven't used my Poxy bottle yet, but to maintain any other LSP, I always end up using DG Aquawax. I haven't tried/found anything that can beat it. I've heard good things about Optimum spray wax also.

Would 3D's express spray wax work over Poxy in help to maintain it?

It would certainly help. I also think HD Free & Touch are great gloss & slickness enducers.

Tunch is actually in the process of working on bringing a HD Montan wax-based Spray Wax to market. This should be the ultimate for preserving HD POXY & Nitro Seal.

You gotta try the stuff, it looks amazing when you first put it on!

CGs says V7 lasts a "long time" but it doesn't mention a general time frame in months. How long have you users of V7 noticed durability/beading?

Just wash it with the new version of ONR. No need for QDs or spray waxes to maintain the slickness and gloss after you apply your LSP.

Not sure what you mean. :noidea:

Poxy should not be diluted with a QD. For best results, apply Poxy straight. Use the Quick Detailer to maintain it once a month. Some Quick Detailers can be diluted.
