How to get nxt out of applicator pad?

How do you get nxt wax out of the applicator pad? I was washing it, wouldn't come out with just water like most stuff does. Used some soap, that didn't seem to do anything either. Still some nxt coming out when i squeeze the pad. Is there some particular type of soap that will get this stuff out? Or do I let it dry and try to beat the powder out of it? *shrug!*

I've always just waited for the applicator to dry out and then I just beat it out. The best part about these sealants is that they are designed to be durable through many washes. What good would a product be that just washes off? :naughty Its designed to resist water and that is why cleaning the applicator is hard. I just throw mine in the wash when I do my towels and that seems to do the trick. They are always dry when I do that, so I really can't say what would happen if it was full of wet product. :dunno

Murphys Oil Soap does a good job of cutting through most waxes without the rinsing problems (tons o' suds) that DAWN has.

Try using an All Purpose Cleaner added into the wash.

Ultimately, you might want to pick up a dedicated MF wash. It really cuts up any polish/sealant/wax etc residue.

Heres what I do. I squeeze the pad as small as I can to get as much excess out as I can. Then soak them in hot water and dawn for a couple of minutes. Then rinse them with warm water till it rinses clean. Then I throw them in the washer and air dry.
when I throw them in the washer, I treat them like I was wahing my microfiber towels.
Hope this helps.

Same here, ever since you told me about this it is all that I have I used when washing pads. Works great!

Just by some Akyra Klean from Top of the Line. Akyra is Hi-Temp's body shop line. Klean is a product that is used to strip paint sealants from paint, and also is used to clean polishing pads and panels between buffing. Klean is a great product for sure. I think it will be the easiest way to clean Nxt from applicator pads. You will have to call TOL directly, because it is not on the website.
