How to fix dash scratch?

I have a scratch on my dash that I am trying to fix. Any way that I can hide it without painting? I've heard about using a heatgun, but this is pretty hard ABS plastic.

AFAIK, once a scratch has uncovered the underlying plastic, the only fix is to touch it up with the paints made for use on such materials. For that matter, once such surfaces get marred at all, IME it's forever.

As long as you get the right color paint, you can hide it pretty easily using a sponge as your applicator.

I can get the color. Would a sponge work better than say a hobby brush? Any tips on the sponge method?

Thanks guys

I'd use a small artist's brush, seems like it'd be a lot easie to keep it in the scratch.

you basically stamp with a (very small sliver of) sponge. Really works well on some areas, not so well on others. Just be ready to wipe if off fast if it doesn't look good.
