How to finish this- Thoughts?

I have a 2003 vehicle, black, of which the paint is in poor condition (water marks, swirls, etc) I typically use zaino z-aio and z-cs but the past year or two the color doesnt pop. When parked next to a newer black vehicle the difference is clearly noticed and the paint lacks the depth it used to have.



I want to try and polish the car with menzerna IP- and seal it with z-cs for protection, but dont know how to fill the gap between these two products. I was thinking of menzerna IP, menzerna FP, some kind of carnuba wax (no clue as to which one), and than z-cs.



Thoughts? Suggestions?

You shouldn't apply a sealant (z-cs) over a carnauba; it won't adhere properly.



Menz IP is a fine polish, but it doesn't do a lot of correction, and falls flat on hard paints.



Using Menz IP, then ZAIO (both with a DA buffer, like a PC) should give you a nice base for Z-CS. It might take a bunch of applications to get the correction you need, so don't give up if you don't see great results after the first couple of applications.
 
Do you reccomend menzerna sip? This will be applied using a PC (orange or white pad w/ IP, black with ZAIO)

Noting that I've never used SIP, I'd be kinda surprised if it finished out well enough to follow with ZAIO. But unlike me, SuperBee364 actually knows what he's talking about so I'd go with whatever he says...

Used with a DA and gentle pad, SIP finishes out really well. It's one of the things I first fell in love with SIP over: lots of correction, nice finish. Of course, the harder the paint, the nicer it finishes. It's also much easier to use with a DA than a rotary.



Supposedly, SIP uses the same size abrasive as IP does, which is why it finishes down so well. Menz just doubled the *amount* of the abrasives from IP, and changed the lube.



SIP->ZAIO *could* work, depending on the paint, pads, procedure, etc.
