How to Clean the Interior of a 1963 Aston Martin DB4 with HD TOTAL

I love that car! Beautiful exterior color also. Nice work on the seats, interior looked like new! That must of been a fun car to clean!

Spectacular work David. HD Total looks like a winner, aggressive enough o clean properly and yet gentle enough for 50 year old leather. David have you tried a Sonicare;). You could relabel them Fermanicare!

Wow! Thanks to every for replying to my thread. I'm really glad you enjoyed it and hopefully it gave you a little better understanding of how simple and fun interiors can be to clean! It's one of my all time favorite things to work on, but unfortunatley many detailers feel burdened by doing them. :usa:

Looks awesome, night and day difference!

Thanks Richard! I was shocked by the trasnformation myself. :bigups

Restoration my @ss. That would've devalued the car, whereas what you did just ADDED value!

I like to think that too Charles! Nothing like preserving what you have rather then changing what is already in place.

amazing turn around. when will the new verson of hd total be out?

Thanks stottie20! It should be getting released in the next 2 weeks as long as the labels come back in time.

I am glad you had some 50-50 shots. The cleaned leather is a dramatic difference in color. I would of sworn you did a bait and switch on us. :shifty:

Awesome job David! :clap2:

Thanks Ben! The leather went from dark dirty brown to it's natural color once again. Nothing like cleaning away decades of soiling!

I dunno if we have room for a DF Signature toothbrush.

David great work. There something to be said about a cleaner that can be used on rare un coated leather like that.Incredible work for sure. Looks like HD has another winner.

Thanks Barry. Coming from a fellow interior master blaster I think you will love this product.

Thanks for sharing this, I loved reading your interior write ups in years pasted, and this one didn't disappoint either. I've learned a tooth brush is my best friend when I want crazy before and afters :)

Thanks buddy! Everyone must feel the power of the brush... :brushteeth:

WOW, what a turnaround. Fantastic job, David. I'll bet the owner was floored.

Looks like I need to place an order for some HD products.

Hey, thanks Bret! I sent him over 50/50 pics and he was very happy. Gotta go back in a couple weeks to take care of the exterior!

DeJavu Anyone ?

Not only this shows how great HD Total can be, but is also a good know-how on cleaning interiors... Can you share the dillution ratios for what and what david ? thanks

Thanks sulla! And that's my intent with this thread. Teach people *my way* of cleaning interiors.

Diltutions will be on each bottle, but here they are as follows:

Heavy: 2 to 1

General: 5 to 1

Delicate: 10 to 1

David, when will this be made available for purchase? Will this new formulation be safe on paint? Will it be safe enough to use on non-coated/ highly polished aluminum components?

And finally, what will a gallon of the concentrate go for?

HD TOTAL should be available in the next couple weeks. I will also be offering it to testers like we did with HD CUT. Please stay tuned. Yes, it makes a great exterior surface cleaner and can also be used on polished wheels if use with caution of course. Please do a test spot just to make sure.

David Fermani- Hey, I'm really late to this party, but I wanted to add my :bow

Very nice work, and IMO 6 hours wasn't all that long to spend on it.

Ya know, that interior was in mighty nice shape underneath the dirt.

What a car....

Massive improvement. Amazing what the right products and technique can do for an interior. BTW, +1 on the 3D Carpet Shampoo, excellent product!

Exactly; they're only original once.

Oh gesh.... - I don't that one will fit in my mouth. :Fermani:

I beg to differ.... :behindsofa:

Very nice David, excellent turnaround! Thanks for taking the time to share your work and info. Your tools are very innovative - toothbrush, kitty litter bucket, and what appears to be a well broken in pet brush. :) I have to ask though, were you allowed to take the car for a trip around the lot by chance? Or just allowed to move it as needed?
