After your pads are used and many residues are embedded into the pads, BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Cleaner & Restorer is a great product to use to clean foam, wool, and microfiber polishing pads.
Fill a bucket with 3-4 gallons of hot water.
Take one scoop of BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Cleaner & Restorer.
Pour it into the bucket.
Mix until the solution feels "slick".
Submerge the pads into the water.
You can let the pads soak for a better clean. After leaving them in for 30 minutes the residues were already starting to come out of the pads. I used a grit guard and the BLACKFIRE Pad Cleaner container to keep the pads submerged, you can use whatever you have available.
You can use a Foam Pad Conditioning Brush to clean solid residues that are hard to get off.
Ringing out the pads really takes out the old chemicals/paint.
Rinse out the pads with water to remove any left over residues.
Place the pads face down to dry (placing them outside in the sun will dry them faster)
Completely clean pads! The stains are permanent from projects before and constant use, they will not harm the car when they are used again. BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Cleaner & Restorer does its job and removes all residues. By cleaning your pads after every use, they maintain their texture and performance and you can use them over and over.
