How to apply opti-coat on wheels while still on car?

I have experience with Opti-Coat and I know it doesn't take long to set. Currently I have a BMW 1er that I will be doing a full correction on soon and I will be applying opti-coat to it. Thing is, is that I want to use jackstands as a last resort. Is it possible to opti-coat the inside of the wheels without taking them off? The faces are easy of course but behind the wheel faces is what I need to do. They are 5 spoke wheels such as these ones shown:

Why are you avoiding jackstands or the factory jack? There is _no way_ I'd try to OC the wheels on the car itself, its enough of a PITA off the car.
 
No you are right. I remember they were a PITA when I applied to a BMW X3's and a VW GTI's. Should I do one wheel at a time. I guess I am worried that the OPTI-coat in the tube will set in by the time I get to the 4th wheel.
 
I took off all 4 rims to apply OC.



I guess if you jack up the car, you can finish two rims at a time? Clean, prep, apply to two wheels. Close off the tube. Wait for 30 mins to dry then put them back on the car and repeat for next two wheels

The stuff in the syringe will be fine. I have stuff that is two years old.
 
Kouyo: That will probably be my best option, since I am installing Koni Sport Yellows soon, I can just apply one wheel at a time.



Dan: Thanks for setting me straight, it will probably best to take them off and do a thorough job



Scott: I probably could but, as you know, there is a greater risk of me missing some areas. BMW infamous brake dust can really build up, especially since I won't be cleaning them as often after they are opti-coated.
 
I guess while you wait for opti-coat to cure you can also clean behind the brake calipers to make time more efficient :)
 
I would rather take the wheels off but that style of wheel should allow you to reach in and get most of it. You can then make a slit/pocket in one of the foam style applicators and then stick wooden paint stick into it to help reach the far back areas. ;)
