How old were you when you started a business?

I started cleaning cars at very young age but started doing it as business when i was about 18. Got my business business license at 19. :spot :tape2: :biggrin:



I just want to know how old were you guys and what age is too young for a business man :rolleyes1:

No age is too young for a business man; level of maturity, work ethic, and willingness to do research and learn are what are important -- age is just a number.



That said, I started detailing at 15, and started doing it as a business at 16.
 
Responsibility is key. You can run a business and pay your taxes at 18 but you don't have a lot of real world experience yet. Learning to do the work perfectly takes time and practice. It's also important to have money set aside for any mistakes that will be made when first opening.
 
I absolutely applaud those that started young. You have a mindset that is very different from most other people around you. However, John makes an excellent point, you need real world experience in many different ways before you can perfect yourself and your business. I'm sure anyone and everyone here who owns a business will tell you that they keep learning every single day, even if they've been doing it for years and years.
