How often do you do detail your cars?



every weekend (weather permitting) i seem to be out washing/drying/polishing and waxing the car. I polish the wheels and give the plastics a good clean and dress.

The the following day i go out and QD the car (its parked outside 24/7) and maybe add another coat of wax.



Am i a excentric nutter or just a novice autopian? Am i wasting my time repeatidly cleaning the car? I seem to be getting obsessive about trying to achieve the wow factor.
 
I wash the car once a week and usually go through and touch up the door jambs and under the hood every 2 or 3 weeks. I put a coat of wax or sealant on once a month. I clean the interior as needed, but I conditon the leather when I wax the car. Its a tough schedule to keep up on with two cars, but if you are obsessed enough about something then you find the time. ;)
 
Detailing every week is normal for me, but not the polishing part. That's too much IMO. I get it perfect the way I want and then use alot of glazes/waxes instead of abrasives...
 
This is one of the reasons why I use a sealant, it just makes it so much easier to keep clean rather than concentrate on getting it clean
 
I wash once a week and QD afterwards, probbaly wax every fortnight and do the big detail every 2 months!
 
Wash & QD once a week. I reapply Souveran every 3-4 weeks. With the weather becoming warmer and more humid, I am going to cut down on the amount of time I spend on my car.
 
wash every weekend, do interior whenever needed, condition interior every wax job which is 1-2 months. never QD or dust since i dont have a duster and i dont like to use QDs, i rather wash.
 
Every weekend, wash, hit the tires and trim.



LSP, hmm, once a month on my vehicle, my wifes gets a coat of UPP and its good for 4 months.
