How often should a glaze be applied?

Do you buff unitl finish is clear or just enough to have good even coverage?

I don't understand what you're calling "clear"? Alot of the glazes (lighter ones) I like, only require quick, even coverage to see benefits. I don't over-buff any of them and usually finish them wet.
