How Often Do You Wash Your Towels?

How often do you guys wash you drying towels, MF, WW or Terry's? Do you wash them every time you wash your vehicle, or do you use them a few times, hanging them to dry after each use? How many washes or uses do you go before throwing them in the washer? I guess the same question could apply to MF polishing/waxing cloths. Do you use these a few times to remove polish or wax then wash them or do you was them after each use. I have been washing after each use, but I find myself always washing towels, so i am wondering if you guys get more then 1 use out of them without any issues. thanks for the help.
 
The towels i use to dry my vehicles I usually get two uses out of them. My working MFs that I use to do the heavy polishing I re-use a few times. Also, the MF i use to final polish and wax, I keep seperate and use them several times also. So I guess overall I use them a few times before washing but I do keep them seperate and use final wipes with the same MF.
 
I too wash mine after every use, with the exception of my WWs for glass. I clean those when there are no more clean areas on them... or after they get dropped :o
 
Washed everytime after use with the exception of my grunge work towels. I wait for a big pile of the "dirty" towels before I wash them.
 
after every use. Non-pro though. Would definitely reuse if not doing so meant having to buy an additional 20 towels at $3 a piece.
 
I wash'em after every use. I put them in a special mini-hamper for my towels that everyone knows not to touch but after my last wash someone must've sent it to Mars or something b/c I can't find it...I'm sadly short by a dozen or so towels. :sadpace:
 
I wash mine after every use as well, with a couple of exceptions every once in awhile. If one of my large MF doesn't get super wet and I am showing my car the next day, I bring it along to use at the show. Also, any dirty towels that I use on my exhaust tip, wheel wells, and engine bay gets brought alone to the show as well to get used for any last touch ups. Then everything gets washed.



I've never washed applicator pads before... for the most part I just threw them out after every use! I didn't think they'd hold up after washing, but I've learned better since reading on here :)
 
I wash after "partial" use. Typically will go through about a dozen various towels on a bike. Towels are divided into three hampers....chemicals, polish/wax and drying.
 
After every use, sorted by function and level of accumulation. It seems like a PITA, but its second nature to me.



It’s a small price to pay. The best example of this is my Father’s Jag . . . I’m the only person to ever touch the paint (wash, polish, wax, etc.) This 4 year old, daily driven machine has no marring or swirls whatsoever. Good technique goes a long way :2thumbs:

Not trying to steal the thread here, but what is a good process to wash MF with? I throw my MF stuff in the washer and then let it all air dry, but there are still a lot of wax and black spots left over.
 
I wash my MFs after every use in the washer with Woolite and cold water.



For a while I tried hanging the MFs up to dry - but that was a PITA.



Now I dry the MFs in the dryer alternating between low heat and no heat/air dry so the towels don't get too hot. I haven't noticed any negative differences from drying the MFs this way - in fact they actually feel softer than when I hung them up to dry.
