How much would you charge...

for an exterior detail on an 03 4-runner? No polishing, just a wash, clay, wheel wells cleaned/dressed and sealant x2 on wheels and paint. Will be doing interior, but it will be priced fairly low, as I do not have the means to extract for carpeting. Also, I do tape everything off when I wax.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Thanks! Just wanted to see if I was in the ball park. The last two that I did, there was lots of wax in the cracks and crevices. Thats why I tape for waxing. I'm not good enough to stay in the lines, so to speak. Even though I'm not responsible for the reckless waxing previously, I feel obligated to clean that crap up and it takes away precious time. Does anyone else feel this obligation?

Also, do you guys do tar removal prior to washing? I've been doing after. That has been another time killer for me. Regular claying wasn't cutting all of the tar and tar remover (stoners) was doing so so on some of it.

Sometimes I feel that I'm doing too much and I end up with more time invested than should be. Granted, the taping is really eating up a bunch of time, but I feel it is necessary on some vehicles with all of the clading.

Thanks for reading

What is your time worth to you? How long does it take you to perform your service? Are

you making 5 dollars an hour or 40 dollars an hour?
