Do you guys know how much water it takes to wash a car, if you use a hose with a nozzle or pressure washer?

I have been doing alot of thinking and planning to convert my s10 "show truck" back to a stock s10. Im worried though, cause it is just a 4 banger with a 6ft bed. I dont want to carry to much weight back there. i figure if I get like a 40 gallon tank, pressure washer, generator, all tools needed and cap that would push god, 800 lbs or more. That is alot of weight!! I dont think the truck would move anymore.

I have to get a hold of the guy down the road who runs a self serve car wash. For 1.50 you get 4 mintues of water time. That is so much, I use like less than half that for the rinse. Then I wash by bucket and then rinse again. wonder how much water im actually using. 40 gallons maybe able to do alot of cars I dont really know. There are self serves all over this place, so i could on slow days just carry like 15 gallons or so, and on heavy days fill her up. Just wondering how much per car is actually used on average.

i just dont seem to like that system at all. I shouldnt say it cause i never tried it. But I want to do it cause of the hot water extractor etc

Is that w/ very liberal pressure washer use??? Also, would you be saving water using a pressure washer? How about if you just used a shallow well pump in a water tank and a hose attached to that???

Yes, I would say that's with liberal use. This also includes filling up my extractor. I believe you do use less water with a pressure washer compared to using a garden hose. I'm sure a shallow well pump would work. I think a pressure washer is a better choice.
