How Much to Charge?

I was just wondering what you guys charge to detail a vehicle?

- full detail

- interior detail

- exterior detail
 
Each job is priced individually.



Prices include Wash, wax, clean wheel wells, tire treatment, glass inside & out, vac., vinyl / leather treatment.



Trunk, Engine Bay and extracting carpet are extra (depending how bad they are)



Cars, Compact SUV's 70 - 80

Mid-size SUV's / trucks 80 - 100

Large SUV's / Vans 90 - 120



Engine bay can be anywhere from 20 to 50.
 
There are a couple very comprehensive threads in this forum if you want to do a search for them. There were some very good points made.
 
One thing I forgot.....



Some guys just charge a flat rate by the hour. Say $20 per hour for example. You spend 5 quality hours on the car = a hundred bucks.....

If a client brings me a NEW car, say a Porsche, the full detail STARTS at $200.



An interior detail would be about $75 to $100.



An exterior detail would be about $75 to $150

Yhea, but people will pay more for Howard Stern to detail their car! :D





I just kind of figured out on average how long each task would take and attached a price to how much I want to make.
 
My partner and I will not take a client before we peform a "platinum" detail

this includes:



dawn wash

clay

dawn wash

machine glaze/ or compound

body shampoo wash (non carnauba)

sealant

carnauba wax



full engine detail, dressing on all plastics, polish on all glass and plastic and chrome,



full interior detail includes:

leather cleaner, leather conditioner, vacuum, dresssing on all plastics, glass cleaner on glass, shampoo to carpets.... etc.





The minimum cost for this package is 150 dollars, you can say 200 if its a large SUV or Pickup (Expedition, Tundra, etc.)

Also the price depends on the clients, I give them discounts if they recommend other clients
