How much should I charge?

Addicted 2 Detailing
Well since few people loved my mustang detail now they want their cars done. How much should I charge? It's an 00 Stang Convert. Low miles, always garaged, in very good shape like mine. No swirls, just minor scratches. Basically like mine, but yellow. He wants the whole process that I did with mine. Interior and all. Wash, clay, polish, sealant, then wax. Just will take some time. How much is a good price to charge? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well im sure there are swirl marks but your process will most likely take them out. I wouldnt do it for cheaper than 125.

Yep, Greg seems to be from the same area of the country as you. Therefore, he should have a feel for what the market will bare in your area. Back here where I am at....... I would charge $150 - $175 minimum.

I just do some word of mouth/detailing for the family. I'd say I only do about 1 every 2 months. For as little as I do, I'd charge about $120-$150. I like to give an estimate with some wiggle room because you never know how much product you may need to use, or those stubborn stains and scratches that take more time that usual. Our MN road salt is the best for melting ice and clear coats!

Ok, thanks guys. That was kinda what I was thinkin round $150. It's a summer car, so no salt which is good. I will post the pics of before and after when I do it in about 2-3 weeks.

I tend to concur with the other folks' responses.... somewhere in the ball park of $150-$185 is the going rate in my neck of the woods for a similar job.

However, based on interior and/or exterior conditions, I have been known to quote a bit higher. Because of the small 'word of mouth' client base that I maintain (because I'm a geologist by day), it's a bit easier to pick and choose jobs as well.
