I'm new to using a PC ... practiced a little on a rental car before turning my efforts to my red Carrera 4. I'm comfortable with the PC now, but I'm not sure on a couple of points.
I will be using 3M SMR on my guards red Porsche, which has light scratches and swirl marks on it. I will Dawn wash and clay the car first.
1) How much product do I apply to the white CMA pad, and where do I apply it on the pad? A circle on the edge? A few drops?
2) Unfortunately, the rental was white, so it was difficult to tell what was really happening, but I applied the product quickly over the whole panel and then moved the buffer slowly in overlapping horizontal strokes. How will I know when it's completely buffed out? (I hope this is easy to see on red paint.) What is an appropriate speed to set the PC on?
3) After I have buffed with the PC, should I go over it again with one of the terry bonnets, or buff it by hand with a MF towel?
Thanks, all ...
