How much washing is a bad thing? I've washed my car at least every other day. Some times, everyday.





When does washing become a bad thing?
 
Washing is only a bad thing if you are introducing marring due to improper washing technique, or poor quality wash mitts/towels. As long as you're not introducing new marring, there's nothing wrong with washing.



However, as it's extremely hard not to introduce any marring at all when washing, even if you're very careful, I probably wouldn't recommend washing that often. If you really want to try not to introduce any marring, take a look at this thread.

washing becomes a bad thing when the car isnt even dirty and water is wasted. also bad when theres water restrictions.
 
well when it was getting washed everyday it was because i wanted to remove bugs from the previous nights cruising and high speed jaunts through two counties.

Use a wax safe bug and tar cleaner. ;)
 
Ya, washing everyday is a little much, I'd say maybe try to limit your washings to 2 times a week. Its a heck of a lot more than most people do, and it should keep your car clean. I used to be obsesive and sometimes wash like 2 times a day. I learned my lesson when I started to get careless, and well, the story goes on from there.
 
You know when you're washing your car too much when it begins to impact negatively on your (other) personal relationships......just like any other obsession.....:p

Not to be rude or anything, but I don't understand how someone could be so obsessed with a car they don't own! I mean, I wash my parents cars occasionally, but I'm not an anal freak about them like I am about my car.
