How much faster are rotary, UDM or G110 than a PC?

Curious how much time is saved by using any of these vs. a PC? I've considered purchasing the UDM or G110 because I REALLY REALLY hate how much time polishing takes.

The rotary is much faster vs the pc, don't have a udm. I'd get the Flex or Festool DA over the UDM/PC

How much faster? I really have little patients for polishing.

Remember, a rotary cuts much faster than a PC, but if not used correctly can leave swirls that would need to be removed with a finer polish/pad combination or an orbital. On paint that is already in excellent condition, I would say an orbital is faster because there is no need for an additional polishing step. I also takes some time to get used to the rotary which can slow you down considerably.

Isn’t that like a doctor who has little patience for patients?

I love detailing, but lets not get carried away now :grinno:

Polishing is just NOT a step I enjoy. Especially since I have a car which reveals little. I don't have halogens (which I don't plan on buying) so I rarely see the defect removal. Of course, at the very end it makes a big difference. But in the meanwhile its juts slow.

Since getting my Flex, I see it as a perfect solution for those who want something safer than a rotary, but quicker than a PC/UDM. I know I've stated this before, but it's worth mentioning again. It really is that good and quicker than the entry level DA machines. The only slight drawback is it's a little more expensive than the DAs or most rotaries, but it's worth considering the quicker working times and still having a safety net of a DA.

What are we talking about here? scratches? swirls? scratches... like 10x faster with the right pad and compound and it'll even take out deeper scratches that a pc wont be able to. swirls... 5x. its hard to leave swirls with a light polishing pad and polish unless your working it at high speeds.
