How much do tires cost you?



My brother had a friend at firestone, so we got in on the tire recall, even though our tires weren't recalled. That guy rocked.



The set before that was around 900 for all four.
 
You didn't include a box for mine. They were free! I had 47,500 miles on my original Firestone Wilderness AT's and my Ford dealership slapped some new ones on for free during the recall. I even got a replacement spare, which was good cause the other one had been used once. ;)
 
SS = $207 each $828

Saturn = $60 each $240

Caviler = $30 each $120





The tires that I want for the rear of the SS, 335/35/Zr17 are like $300+ each

I assume you meant in U.S. dollars ;) I converted from Canadian. Didn't sound nearly so bad. This was for all season tires. I'm not sure how much the winter tires are going to cost.
 
For the 528i, I just got a new set of (4) Yokohama AVS dB, 225/55ZR-16 tires at $101/tire (TireRack) + shipping for $450.



I got new tires for the 325i two months ago. They were all Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Positions- 225/45YR-17 ($155/tire) in the front, 245/40YR-17 ($178/tire) in the rear. The total came out to $700 including shipping. I love these tires!



The Passat currently has 195/65-15 Goodyear RS-As. The tires are terrible and they howl in every hard corner. There is way too much sidewall flex yet it isn't quiet at all. The Goodyears make the otherwise good handling Passat into an understeering Buick.



Some Sumitomo 225/45-17s and Rondells are coming though... :D

If I stick with the OE Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus' on my Saab, they'll run me $122 for H rated and $140 for V rated (my car came with the V rated tires).



But there are plenty of choices in 215/55-16 so I'm having fun shopping around. Won't need them for another 15K or so. Right now I'm leaning towards Bridgestone RE950 or Yokohama Avid V4. I'd love Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's but at almost $200/tire, I think I'll suffer with something else.

Those would be some sweet tires. I would give my left leg for a set of those. ....Well, maybe not. But I sure would love a set of em.
 
Bridgestone S-03 245/35/19 @ $223/PC. $892/SET.



I'm moving up to dubs pretty soon and expect next set of tires to run around $960. Damn I hate buying new tires. :(
 
Hmm, i've got 225/45/17ZR Michellin Pilot Sport.. and I absolutely LOVE these tires. My stock suspension handles like a slot car with these on. I got lucky and got the 4 of them with about 75-85% tread on them for $250 from a friend. Word of advice, buy tires used!
 
$299.99 each. Something is wrong with my car I think, as the rear tires need replacement almost twice as fast as the front tires do. Any ideas?

Is your car rear wheel drive? I was told that if I didn't rotate my tires, the front ones would wear out about twice as fast as the rear ones because, in my case, they are the drive wheels.
 
$450 out the door (mounting, balancing, etc) for a set of Michelin LTX M/S tires during the Firestone debacle. Go ahead, ask me if I ever got my refund from Firestone. :rolleyes:

1048.00 for tires without mounting costs. Now do you know why I don't like to light em up?



Next time around I'll pay nearly 50% less for better tires.
