How many pads do you have in your collection?

I have so many pads in my collection and it seems that I am always ordering one more here and there when I place a product order. How many is too many? Just curious how many some of you guys have.

On another note I opened a new pkg of clay and was beginning on my first panel and it slipped out of my hand and onto the floor-I am still bummed out over that waste of $.

About 2 dozen, most are Meguiar's pads but recently I've made the switch to the Edge 2000 system. I like it alot.

I have about 50. Cyclo pads add up two at a time.:D All of my rotary pads are Meguiar's with the exception of about 6.

Probably in 150 range of we include cyclo pads. I need to thin down my stock though, I only use about 75% of those pads.

Was there any visible particles on the clay? Why not just cut off the area that touched the ground?

I have no idea how many pads I have :o and it'd take some time/effort to count 'em all up...so I'll say that I'm maybe around ebpcivicsi's 150, but probably not quite *that* many.

74 Thing- That's one reason why I pinch off a small piece of clay at a time ;)

Holy cow, I feel like I'm a minimalist, I've only got like 8-9 pads. They only get used on 1 car really though, so I really don't need more than 1 set.

how many do you average on one car/suv at a time? also, how long should say an orange lc last? and with a pc, do i need a lambswool?

So far I have about 5 Edge 2000 pads and about 6 or so Lake Country pads. I don't find myself polishing that often and I only take care of abotu 3 cars (only 1 is mine), so that's enough for me. I do have one pad that I use to polish glass. The Edge 2000 pads are double sided to I guess that counts as 10 pads :nixweiss

Purchasing detailing stuff is somewhat of an addiction for me and I am sure I will be purchasing more. Just trying to limit myself to stuff I need instead of stuff that I want to try! Otherwise I'd probably have a bunch more pads and other stuff.

double sided? how does that work with the velcro and all? am i missing something here? and is there any significant difference between lc pads and others? i have the white orange yellow and black..and use pb 1,2.5 and 3 good combo?

Yes, the Edge system eliminates the hook and loop system there is no backing plate in the traditional sense. The backing plate is built into the pad. There is a pad on each side of the plate which is sandwiched into the middle.

This link show how it works: http://www.edgepads.com/e2k6da_dbl.htm

I really like this set up. The pads seem like they're a little steep until you factor in the cost of 2 regular pads for every 1 edge pad.

It uses an snap on type adapter instead of a velcro backing plate. Check out edgepads.com for more information on the Edge 2000 pads.
