How many layers of SG before topper?

i have 2-3 layers of klasse (some parts were stripped for scratch reduction) on my car. how many layers do you guys generally do before you top? i'm planning on using souveran as a topper, but don't want to do it too early before the sg is done right.

also, souveran must have some scratch filling properties right? i'm wondering because the last layer of klasse seems to have a very slight swirl in it.

I had 12 on before I decided to try the topper. I really liked working with the SG and didn't want to stop putting it on. I also had my Blitz staring at me waiting to get a try.

Saw a swirl pattern as well, a couple of times. A little QD and a MF towel took care if it.

I would say that 5 coats is enough. I had over a dozen when I stopped. I think I had like 15 on or something. I honestly lost count. I was having too much fun with SG I think. :D Souveran is a great topper but it doesn't do much for scratches. Maybe a little tiny bit but if it fills any scratches then it will be temporary. Souveran needs to be reapplied every 4 or 5 weeks. It isn't the longest lasting stuff on the planet but it sure does look nice! :up

A minimum of 3 must be done in my opinion. And for best results, anywhere between 5-7 should give you awesome results.

My 20 year old P-car looks beautiful. One top coat with carnauba (used Griot's and then Souveran), and a weekly splash with the washer/wax makes it look freshly detailed.

I'd say stop when you feel that the next layer you put on doesn't seem to enhance the shine. This should be in the 4-6 range.
