Jan 19, 2003 #1 I Idrops New member ...if I keep S100 layered over it. My Klassed Mountaineer seemed to only last 6 months, but it wasn't waxed and it is kept outdoors. However, the Garage Queen, I mean Miata, is S100ed often and sheltered. Do you think the wax will prolong the SG?

Jan 19, 2003 #2 S schoi New member Well, yeah, it should, considering that it is an additional coat over an already protected surface. But on the other hand, I don't know how many of us here would, or could, go six months without doing their cars over.

Jan 19, 2003 #3 Y YoSteve New member The more you put on the longer it would last. If you wait a day between layers, the thicker layers you can make, which also make it last longer. If you have a complete garage queen (that never leaves the garage), you should strip and reapply every 2 years as acrylic itself starts to degrade.
