How long do you use your CCD?"

Just wondering how long most of you use your CCD before buying a new one. The directions claim the dirtier it gets the better it works. I have not found this to be true. I have tried washing it, but this appears to make things worse, as I believe the paraffin is washed away.

I usually replace my CCD every 6 months.

Just curious what your usage patterns are like?

Thanks:up

Mine is 20 years old. Granted, it wasn't used much for about 15... washed it recently, per intructions from their website. (Woolite and cold water) Works just fine!

A really great product, due to it's dependability (it always works!) and reliability.

It depends on how much you use it too, I use mine about once a week, it's not my daily car and it's a garage queen. Remember to use it lightly on the surface.

I must have about 4 or 5, only one I had throw out because the handle fell apart, do have my original from 1994

How do I clean my Duster?

Because of a special permanently baked in paraffin treatment, The Original California Dusters are made to provide years of effective service without the need for cleaning. Simply shake them out before and after each use. The "dirtier" they get the better they work.

If you find it necessary to clean your Duster because it is too dirty or if the Duster stops lifting dust, it can be washed. You may hand wash your Duster in cold water with a mild detergent such as Woolite, then air dry. Do not use hot water to wash or hot air to dry, as heat or harsh detergent may remove the special paraffin treatment.
