How long do MF last

As the topic says, how long do MF's last? I have mf's JTI and NI which are just over a year old and the plush side is losing plushness. Is this normal?

What are the signs of aging? I've got some YoSteve's that are 1 year old. I recently did the CD scratch with them. They pasted with flying colors. The only thing I've notice is they are as grabby (at least to each other and my fingers) as they were new.

The age shouldn't be in terms of calender year but number of washes/jobs. If I assume that you use your towels for your weekly job, you already got 50+ uses. I'd be happy if my Pakshaks do 50-100 jobs.

I've got MFs from Clearkote, Pakshak, Turtle Wax and JT and all seem to be holding up nicely and some are more than a year old and get washed on average about 2-3 times a month (even though I go through them quickly in my detailing business, I have over 80 MF towels now). Turtle Wax claims you can wash theirs up to 500 times with no loss in performance.



The main thing is to wash them in warm, not hot water and dry them on low heat or 'fluff'.

My Pakshak towels have been washed numerous times and they are holding up great. Some of my older Nicand MF that I use for windows are looking pretty beat. As they say, you get what you pay for.

I have 10 I bought from YOSteve a looooong time ago that are holding up very well. I imagine they must be 2+ years old and have gone through many a wash with no noticable wear.
