How long can you hold out before starting over?

Whats the longest you guys have gone re-detailing your vehicle. I'm talking about NO polishing, stripping, ect.

Just washing, qding, and an occasional wax once a month.

I'm planning on testing myself and seeing how long I can hold out without stripping everything... Just an occasional booster, xxxx, ect...

I did a 9hr detail in May and I'm trying to hold out as long as possible. I'm already wanting to polish again. Starting to see to much light webbing. Its starting to eat at me. Lately I've been waxing every other week.

I usualy strip,polish,seal,wax every 4 months. Then I wax top with carnauba
about 3 to 4 weeks. My base sealant is 2 coats. That is unless some unusual
marring incident comes up.

This is my regimen also, but i've slowed down on waxing and kicked up the QD'ers

Why did it sensor the word wax and rewrite my sentence?

Its supposed to say "...Just QD, an occasional wax, ect..."

Few times a year here. I'll give it a few wax jobs inbetween the details to keep a gloss. I'm not as anal as some of you guys are, As long as its washed i'm happy. I treat my truck like a truck, not a showpeice thats in a gallary.

Sometimes the censor will pick up something in the word like in glass and XXX it out, but it doesn't rewrite anything.

Back O/T, I try to do my car every 3-4 months, but sometimes it's longer in the winter.

7 months on my Integra.

I got about 5 months, then started topping with a carnauba every 3-4 weeks until I hit 7 months...Still, the finish looked damn good.


5+ weeks thus far with my G and not 1 swirl...I have brought it to the gas station at night a few times...nothing. I love it .

The most I have done a 6 step on my veh is 5-6 times

the average is 3-4 times a year.

for those who don't know what the 6 steps are:
1. strong wash
2. Clay
3. mild wash
4. polish
5. sealer
6. wax
